11 weeks ultrasounds and 3ds

Today one of my really good friends at work, Megan, scanned me and got some good images of baby rooney and took some 3d shots. The baby must like Megan's voice because this is the ONLY ultrasound so far that he/she has sat still! This one baby rooney was waving hello.

I love this one you can see the baby's head and lil butt and stretched out leg!

back to sucking his/her thumb while falling asleep

This picture you can see a little nose/face, it's hard to see but definitely forming!

Head shot and you can see little arms also.

Our weekend

We had a pretty crazy weekend, but it was a lot of fun! Friday night we went out to eat with Lisa, Morgan, Sean, James, and the Joe Rooney side of the family. We went to Bella Vita up north and it was amazing food and so great to see such great family that we haven't really seen since Sean and Morgan's wedding. It was so great to see Lori, Joe, Ali, and Kaelyn~~they are all such great interesting people! We were pretty exhausted so didn't stay up too late.

The next day was my first "sober" wedding haha. We went to Bloomington for our friend's Josh and Tina Cassetty's beautiful wedding. After the church ceremony most the group went to a bar until the reception started, but I somehow talked pat into heading into town to go to urban outfitters my favorite store :)....It wasn't as bad I thought weddings would be without the delicious wine...I guess now I just look more forward to the cake! haha! They looked absolutely beautiful, and I have no idea why but after me, pat and sean and morgan's weddings they always make me tear up.

That being said, I'm getting really excited for my cousin Kim's wedding in October...I may be a blimp by then, but it is going to be so much fun. We also got the small wagon in the mail that was built to pull my best bud Mel's daughter Lucy down the aisle in. Lucy is going to be a flower girl and I'm SUPER excited. I'm just so happy that not only are my friends amazing but they are so close to my family that their daughter is in my cousin's wedding (I'm sure the fact that she is the cutest thing on earth has nothing to do with it either). We are also started to plan Kim's bachelorette party in Louisville at the end of August~~look out 4th street!!

Cute prayer/quote

Pat's mom Loren gave me a really neat prayer/quote book for mothers and it really has some thoughtful ones..here's one of my favorite so far!!

If a woman could ever get a glimpse at
What her world would be
When she becomes a mother,
She would be presented with the reality
That her innermost desires and life plans
Would be altered or put on hold
Because she would inundated with the care of others.
If she was also allowed to glimpse the unending joy
She would recieve as a mother,
There would be no pause to consider,
No hesitation as she embraced the whole package,
Knowing in her heart that her children will become her life's desires.

So very true!!! Thanks Loren!

9 wks 5 days

Ending week 9 Baby Rooney is still Doing great! I am super super tired, which I heard happens with most women, but I thought since my job consists of alot of call and I'm used to getting no sleep i'd be good. It's a tired I've never felt before. I have about a 10 minute warning before I MUST go to bed or I may fall asleep mid-sentence. Yesterday I took a nap while the tree company sawed down 6 trees--haha so much for light sleeper! Baby Rooney is started to move on the ultrasound screen and I can see arms/legs wiggling around! Yesterday he/she kept putting hand up by face so I think they're already starting to suck thumb. Here's a pic

Every now and then if I'm hungry I'll feel a little nauseous so Im usually snacking most the day~~what's new lol. The worst part about week 9 was my oh so dreaded trip to kroger--I may make pat go next time. I attempted on sunday and for some reason the smell gets me everytime! I ran thru the aisles dodging children and old ladies sweaty and pale. If I forgot something 2 aisles over I didn't care i was on my way out. Huffing and puffing bc my cart was struggling and full the poor cash register lady was like, "Hun you don't look so well do you need help to your car." obviously I must of looked like one hot mess! I thought the grocery store smell was gone until my next battle but then I actually threw on a tshirt quickly one morning nit thinking and suddenly started gagging--it was the stupid tshirt I wore to the grocery store and the smell was on the shirt~~~crazy!

As for weight I don't think I've gained much yet, but I do feel a lil bloated in the lower belly area. Pat thinks I'm crazy but I can't see a lil pooch starting. I think baby Rooney is going to be a bump in a bit! My uterus tilts forward so there's no where to go but out!

Still saying lots of prayers and so thankful to make it to week 10 safe and sound!

Week 8

Week 8 flew by! So far no more puking wohoo (knock on wood). I wish I could just fast forward to Wk 14 and calm my mind a little bit. Although every day I'm very blessed to hear the little heartbeat. This week the arm/leg limb buds started to appear and yesterday I could see baby moving and stretching his/her neck~ so cute! I think baby looks
like a gummy bear....one of my best friends Steph calls him/her stubbs. If you guys are lucky to know my lil Steph you will also know our poor child will most likely be called that forever by her :) ....Pat thinks he can see a "third leg" already :) haha he's REALLY pulling for a boy.

This week also included the 4th of July! It's amazing to me to think that next year on the

4th I'll be holding a 4 month old!!! The wknd was packed with parties, BBQ, and fireworks and I actually made it pretty well in the hear/late nights. Also in Monday I finally got to see my best friends girls hailey and Lucy. They are just adorable! Had to post some pics!

Belly laughs

My best pal Mel got me the BEST book that I absolutely loved and ready to read again by Jenny mcarthy..it's a great break from all the "do not" lists in the medical books and she puts a hilarious perspective on pregnancy..bc it is pretty funny! Here's a bit that I almost peed laughing so hard bc it's so true!

"going to the grocery store was a freaking nightmare. I would walk in pale and sweaty with my little list and I would run through the aisles. To me, The meat counter smelled like dead animals that had been left out in the sun for a year. Strangers hawked as the saw me gagging in aisle 3 holding up some cheese. It's hard having these symptoms in public when you don't look pregnant. If I were 9 mths along they would look at me like " oh look, poor lil pregnant lady doesn't feel so good." instead they looked at me instead to say, " don't bulimics puke after they eat?"

1st Ob appt

Whew! Our first OB appt went really well. I was very anxious, Pat of course was calm as usual. I'm glad one of us can keep our cool. I had one million questions and they answered all of them. They also did bloodwork, bp, weight, and also did a scan. The scan definitely calmed me, I know I know I scan myself all day long, but I hadn't done an internal scan since they beginning and they are such better detail and give a much better picture for the dr. Everything is right on schedule and the baby measured 8 weeks exactly to put the due date Feb. 10 still. It was really neat for pat to watch and see the baby and how much it's grown and hear the heartbeat. They also told me things I should avoid...I've read about a million different things from books but it was good to hear from a nurse what was a little extreme and what to really avoid...hair color first trimester, acne washes (I now look like a 13 yr old with all of these zits), certain cheeses, caffiene, hot tubs, the list goes on! All in all it was a great appointment and our prayers are paying off :) This week our little one is the size of a medium sized olive!

Lila knows

Throughout week 8 Lila, our brat has started acting differently. Usually she is very nice and calm to Pat, but she knows that I spoil her and she can control me...I'll admit it ;)....but lately she has been more gentle and loving and has been laying on my stomach and just falling asleep or just staring at me. I swear dogs can sense these things! This is her laying on my belly after work.
