This is how we told Pat's dad and Lisa that we were pregnant and my girlfriends....

Our little Raspberry

Heading into week 8! Our little Roonball is the size of a large raspberry! So far during week 7 it's been about the same, I feel great! I'm very very tired but that's usually how I am :)...now I just have an excuse! This week I have felt a little more nauseous, and do gag when brushing my teeth in the morning but so far so good. I can't get enough fruit, and I can hardly make myself swallow the prenatal vitamins. Tomorrow is our first OB appointment! We need all the prayers we can get! Pat is coming with so that will definitely calm me down. I'm excited for Pat to see the office/meet everyone and maybe even see a scan since I've been spoiled and have been scanning myself~~he does get to see pics and hear the heartbeat though. So far so good! Also, random thought....if most pregnant ladies crave fruit why in the world would they describe your baby's size as fruits? I couldn't eat the raspberry parfait at work today :(

1st Meltdown...Hello Hormones!!

Ladies and Gentlemen we have had our first hormonal meltdown....and I thought I was dramatic before :). This may be a little graphic so you may want to skip this one if you are eating. For those of you who have felt the constant nauseous/not sure if somethings going to come up feeling the fact that you can smell cologne from miles away doesn't help with bad smells. I had a rough day at work, a couple miscarriages always brings a worrywart pregnant me down in the dumps. As you know, we are remodeling the kitchen/upstairs so we have been sleeping in the basement bedroom. Unfortunately the toilet in the downstairs bathroom is "out of order". When I came home from work the entire house smelled of stale urine (I probably smelled in pulling into our driveway). All I wanted to do was take a nap, but the smell got stronger and stronger and I was walking to the bedroom downstairs. The toilet was backed up, and the pee left in it smelled so bad!! So talking myself into how wonderful napping would be I tried to plunge. Bad idea. Suddenly the stale urine was pouring overflowing onto the new tile on to my bare feet, almost getting under our washer/dryer. I was rushing to turn off the water, and got towels to soak up the DRENCHED floors. As I stood on 5 soaking wet clean towels, I then threw up on the towels. That's when the watershow of tears began. Haha looking back I guess I can't help but laugh at how pitiful that day was! Maybe it's a girl since I was being pretty dramatic that day :) Thankfully Pat got home and came to my rescue had me sit outside and cleaned up....whew!

6 week pictures

As much as I hate pictures by myself this is one point that I have to suck it up. Mel says we had to start the belly pictures at week 6 so here's week 6! So far everything's been going great, just certain smells make me feel queasy, but so far no puking :)...KNOCK ON WOOD!!!

June 2010 Vacation

Well soon after we found out we were pregnant we had already planned a relaxing vacation to Panama City Beach and Hollywood Beach Florida. The first week we stayed with our close friends the Durretts at Edgewater and then the second part we were with my mom, kathy, kim, and Dana. I must say that this vacation was at a PERFECT timing, being the worry wort that I am. During the weeks of Florida the baby would be forming, and I know that I would of been scanning myself daily and panicking. Luckily, when we got home I scanned and saw a small fetal pole and a little heartbeat beating away. The beating is the best sound in the world!! At 6 weeks the heart rate was 144bpm.

Well on June 3, 2010 me and Pat's lives started on a crazy baby rollercoaster. I'm doing this blog to keep myself, and close friends, and family updated on Baby Rooney and the happenings with our pregnancy. My friend Melinda did this and it was neat to look back and see how far she had come and see the differences in each week. My goal will be to post something each week~~we'll see how that goes!! Also thanks to Mel for making this blog for me, or else I probably would of just given up ;). The main question early on is why did I chose to test that random Thursday?? I wasn't late for my period, wasn't feeling anything weird, and wasn't even thinking I could be pregnant. I actually was walking through walgreens and had a weird feeling to buy these pregnancy tests?? I truly think my grandma was watching over me because a medication that I was going to be taking could of been bad to take during pregnancy. I guess God really does work in funny ways!!! Please keep us in your prayers....I've never ever prayed as much as the past 4 weeks...
